Q: Eh? IPS file? How do I use that?!
A: Obtain an IPS patcher for your platform of choice (Lunar IPS is recommended for Windows), and use it to apply the patch downloaded on this page to a fresh copy of Pokémon Emerald.
Q: When I start up my game, I only get a white screen!
A: Change your emulator's save type to Flash 128K.
Q: When I try to start a new game, I get a message about my clock battery running dry!
or Q: After I set the clock, the clock stays stuck at that time forever!
A: Enable the Real Time Clock in your emulator.
Q: Why does Joey act like a Hiker when I call him on the Pokégear?
or Q: Why can't I add anybody but Joey to the Phone Card?
A: The Phone card isn't finished yet, so regular trainers you add don't work the way they should yet.
Q: Have trade evolutions been changed? How do trade evolutions work now?

Q: How far can I go?/Is Kanto available?/Elm isn't calling me after I beat the Pokémon league!/RELEASE NEW BETA NAO
A: Really sorry about that, but beating the Johto quest is as far as the latest beta goes. If you want to get the latest news on the development of CrystalDust, subscribe to the RSS feed on my blog!
